Chair

of the

Jr. MUN

Julius-Spiegelberg-Gymnasium

Dear Delegates,

Welcome to BERMUN's 2024 Jr. MUN!

First, let me start by introducing myself: I am 18 years old and currently attending the Julius-Spiegelberg-Gymnasium in Vechelde, Germany. I have participated in several MUN conferences, including last year's BERMUN I. However, this will be my first time as a chair and I am very excited to take on this new role.

This year’s conference theme will be "Fostering Global Citizenship among Identities and Responsibilities", which revolves around creating a world, in which different groups value and respect each other. In direct connection to the conference theme, the Jr. MUN will be debating the topic of “Improving Migrant Integration”.

Part of being a global citizen is supporting those who migrate to new communities. As global conflicts increase, migration does so as well. Thus, the Jr. MUN’s topic continually gains relevance.

My aim as a chair is to help you speak up and engage in insightful dialogue to make this BERMUN an unforgettable experience.

I look forward to seeing you at the conference!

Sincerely,

Leoni Reinema
