Dear Delegates,
I am honored to serve as a Co-Chair of the Legal Committee at this year's BERMUN conference.
Our committee will discuss “Regulating Migration and Integration” and “Bridging the Digital Divide.” These tie into the conference theme of “Fostering Global Citizenship among Identities and Responsibilities”, because through migration and digitalization, different identities are brought together, among which responsibility must be distributed.
Both topics require the consensus that all people are equal and deserve the same opportunities. Delegates must find measures through which practical equality can be realized in these fields and search for compromises amidst different perspectives while keeping in mind shared key objectives. Only through cooperation and tolerance can inclusive solutions be found.
On a personal note, this is my final year at the Primo-Levi-Gymnasium in Berlin. I have been interested in politics for a long time and have felt MUN is a great learning opportunity to improve not only public speaking and problem-solving skills but also one’s understanding of the world. Aside from MUN, I enjoy reading, writing, drawing and doing aerial acrobatics.
